Emily Sandberg, M.D.
Emily K. Sandberg, M.D. received her B.A. from Wesleyan University in 2011, graduating with Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude honors. She received her M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine in 2017. Between 2018 and 2020, Dr. Sandberg remained at the University of Pennsylvania where she completed her internship and residency. During her residency, she served on Penn’s Medical Education Leadership Track, was a co-coordinator of Penn’s Refugee Clinic, and taught clinical reasoning and exam skills to medical students.
Following her residency, Dr. Sandberg accepted a clinical and teaching position as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Penn Internal Medicine University City, in Philadelphia. In addition to taking care of her patients, Dr. Sandberg also worked on one of Penn’s Medication for Opioid Use Disorder clinics, and on Penn’s Internal Medicine Antiracism Task Force.
Dr. Sandberg is board-certified in Internal Medicine, and she is a member of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Sandberg lives in Moorestown, NJ, with her husband and two young children. She enjoys baking, gardening and spending her free time with friends and family.
